Awaiting Change

Save me from these
leaves that change
their colour, once
ricocheted from the soil

I’d rather live some place
where the wind never lets
the leaves drop on the ground
Where gravity refuses to be a
part of this chicanery
Where the delusional tree
doesn’t have to be the part
of an asymptotic change
To realise that it had always been
The same leaf
The same flower
The same fruit

Oh, same here. I have a peculiarly bad feeling for this winter. Let’s hope for the best though.

  2. Bummer… I love fall & winter.. of course for me metamorphosis and change, leavings and saying bye are always central, since nothing remains except our thoughts and desires in stone, word, and tree… leaves remind me of the delicate balance between giving and receiving, the negotiations with life that is always receding, yet ever near.

Still a nice use of rhythm even if my feelings are a little different on the meanings 🙂

    1. First off, even your comment is poetry, good sir! “leaves remind me of the delicate balance between giving and receiving, the negotiations with life that is always receding, yet ever near.” – Lovely, lovely, and very true. 🙂

I too like winter like when it ‘sets in’ but the change of seasons is a bit distracting.
Thank you for the read and your kind words, I appreciate it a lot! 🙂

    1. It is indeed! I like autumn once it sets in but every changing season just leaves me a bit off for some reason. Aw, spring has sprung – love that phrase. ❤

Thanks for the read and the comment! Hope you're doing well. Have a nice day! Take care. 🙂
