So, this would be my first attempt at concrete/visual poetry (don’t sue me if they are not the same, I’m an ignorant) and phew this was tough, even if it might not look so! Hah!

I wanted to do this for a long time now, basically since I followed the visual poetry genius, F.G.M, although this is not even close to his brilliance and application. Thank you, my friend. 

Hope this makes some sense. :’)

    1. Aw, that’s really sweet of you! I’m glad you thought it was creative! And yes you are correct practice is indeed the best friend of a writer, to be honest it was really difficult for me to even come up with whatever this is, haha, so maybe I will do a visual poetry once in a fortnight, yes I will do that! Ah, thanks so much for the inspiration! 🙂

  11. Sheer Creative Brilliance! You nailed it, D! The bow is taken proudly. “A life lost in words purpose and a life cast in words purpose”- so profound is this. So true that we were the target when we ran from fake promises. I’m trying my wit to understand and imbibe this wonderful wisdom in all its perspectives. You can explain me your line of thought………I would me very glad to take it in complete and original sense. Amazingly beautiful visual poetry. Stay Shining! 🙂

      So, my perspective was that, we take a person as a target, as you pointed out and as it is mentioned in the middle section that we become targets the day we start running from fake promises, which is something based on a personal experience, so one might or might not understand it but haven't you felt that people sometimes force you into promises that are bound to be broken? And, if you don't want to be a part of it then you become a cast out, the first bit of the poem which is the last bit which says – 'what pierced through us was as much the fletching as the spear head…' that was supposedly there to lay stress on how what leads is as much a part of what follows and vice versa which had to go hand in hand with the fact that if you're neither of those two then you're the target or a victim. The arrow head was just meant to say that we're all lead by purpose, some are saved by their words and some get lost.
      So, that was the whole thought in my head which I thought would be cool to use here, I admit I should've worked more on it but meh…it's okay. 😀

      1. Dearest Light, thank you soooooooo much for your lovely detailing. Now, I am able to connect all the dots. It is not that the visual poetry was not explainable…………….I am not that good at understanding visual poetry. Sometimes, I understand but in my own way not what the poet has thought of. And I honestly want to learn the poets’ idea behind it because I have already known mine. I am sorry if my comment made you feel so………….. it is just my short coming and not yours. You are very talented and I just wanted to know your intelligent idea completely. My problem is………..when in doubt, I always ask. 😦

        Yes, I have many situations wherein I was forced to abide in a promise (of course bound to b broken one) and I was always the scape goat. Thank you D!…………now the poem resonates with my experiences.

    1. Haha, aw it’s not you, I assure you of that..i am just not comfortable with this form of poetry. So, I understand when you say you had trouble reading it. No worries, my friend!
      If it’s any help all the three segments of the arrow are to be read separately. 🙂

      1. Ooooooohhhhh, tea would be great 🙂 It’s cold here today, like seriously cold. As if it’s gone back to winter (it’s spring here right now.) I actually just baked a cake last night, so maybe that will go nice with the tea.

      2. I too baked a cake the day before yesterday! 😀
        It was cake mix though so…it wasn’t much of a pain hehehe but then yesterday my mum baked a, what she’d call a ‘proper cake’. So we had a chocolate and a vanilla cake both. XD
        With your cake, we’ll have three cakes, wow..brilliant! *tea cup clink*
