Hello there!

Today I tried to make a GIF and here’s the end result. You can also see my infamous creative/drawing/colouring skills here. What can I say…I was born with it. -cringe- :’)

Feedback is always welcome!

PS – The GIF is not in a cycle so you may have to refresh the page – if in case you haveΒ to re-watch.

    1. Hehehe, thanks Staci! I chose something that’d be appropriate for me considering how ‘good’ I draw on paper let alone on MS Paint. πŸ˜›
I am VERY glad you loved it! πŸ˜€ ❀ ❀
Confetti of pretty pictures of porcelain tea-cups for you, my friend. Wow, we talk too much about tea. XD

  1. You are a well of consummate talent! Super loved the concept. It is a deeply matured one. Such a profound message embedded in the transitions. Love it. Boundaries are set and we are forced to be within. The sky drew wider and the sun grew brighter………………the limits just disappeared. Amazing thought, D! Love this unique concept. Shine bright! πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks so much, R! I’m super-glad that you loved it and thanks for -you know the err..mistake- ehehehe I thought it’s actually in the gif and was like Oh no! But it was only in the post! Woohoo! πŸ˜› πŸ˜€
Yes, as I told Staci, I did cheat a bit by choosing a clever topic, you know those drawing books we were given as kids and some parents would flaunt their kids’ book saying – ‘My child is a born artist.’ yeah my parents were always on the listening side so BAM! there you go kids, you don’t need boundaries, no one does, Colour away! XD

      1. I remotely sensed this, D! I am closely observing your thoughts. I am proud to say, I know a bit of real you. he he:) You said…Sky (drew /grew?) wider. I mean both are right in their own way but which one you opted?

Must say, the concept you chose is really very deep. I mean this line of thought is unparalleled. I am still re-reading your concept. Loving it each time more than the previous time. Keep it up, Light. πŸ™‚

      2. Hehe, I know that now!
In the GIF it says ‘drew’, as I had the childhood flashback I told you about. XD
Wow – thanks for so many compliments, R! I feel honoured.
Do you think I should upload a GIF much slower than this? Is it too fast? I feel it is a bit.

      3. Honestly, yes dear. It is bit racing . Even I couldn’t catch up in one go. I had to read each frame couple of times. If you slow down the frame, it would be much easier for the readers to read and understand the whole concept. I would suggest this.

      4. Okay, presently the time difference is 2000ms so I’ll try with 3000ms and see how it comes. Also, should I put it on a cycle? As in now it’s on a cycle so it’s repeating itself after the end. Maybe if I make it slow then I can remove the cycle.

      5. I checked it just now. The first two frames are perfect. The last one is ahead. I could finish at ” and my sun…” thats it. It has too many words comparatively. Read for yourself and see.

      6. Hmm…so I’ll stop the cycle thing then, because from the last to the first frame I cannot set the time, it’s there by default. If I remove the cycle then to re-watch it, the page will have to be refreshed – and it’ll stop at the last frame.

      7. Yes…………..I understand this. Try the possible one and leave the rest. We cannot change the default one. But this one is better than the previous setting. I think, the readers who are really interested to know, should be interested in sparing some more time for the last frame. πŸ™‚
Leave some work for the readers too. What say?

      8. Phew! Yes please. I’ve stopped the cycle thing, it was a bit annoying, so either read it in a go or don’t! Oh boy, I am tired now. XD

      9. You and I already know the wordings by heart so we are able to read it and guess the next word. For the first time readers, it would be lil difficult to read that fast.

    1. Aw, is it? I made it the slowest possible but if I can I’ll create one that’s slower – you are right, even I felt that it was a bit too fast. :/
I’m glad you liked the idea!

      1. I think the idea is cool, innovative, and can dramatize the effect of the words, but you have to be able to string the words together first. It is the first time I have seen something like this! Sort of electronic billboard poetry, very cool. You could have different speeds available. First a very slow, than a moderate, and than a fast, for a complete multimedia effect.

      2. Many thanks, Phil! Yes, that’s a brilliant idea, to time the intervals separately – that’s be very cool. And, yes about the words effect too just like we can do in Powerpoint presentations etc. I made this online, by uploading the pictures after I made them. If you search for ‘make a gif online’ you’ll get many links from where you can make these – I hope you too will give it a try! That’d be great!

      3. I used http://toolson.net/GifAnimation/Create for this gif, it allows you to make the interval between two frames as much as you want it to be.
I’ve slowed down this gif and made the interval 4500 millisecond, and have removed the cycle so it’ll play and stay at the last frame. Hope now you can read it comfortably. πŸ™‚

      4. Just to follow up with my second comment (not sure if it will take). I just visited your site, and what a difference, it really is a great example of using media and poetry. Nice going! The second frame is a little faster than the others but you can read everything. If you slow down the second frame then the reader will have the same time to let the image and words sink in. I just viewed it a few times so maybe that is better you will have to decide. Nice going!

      5. Thank you so very much for the help, Phil! It’s great now that it’s a bit slower – about the second frame I tried to but could not make the appropriate intervals, i’ll have to look for another site that provides better media animation options.
Thanks again! Always appreciate your presence and feedback, my friend! πŸ™‚

Although I wouldn't want to give it another try…to much work for a lazy caffeinated mind like me. XD

      3. Wow! I really need them – Hibiscus ones! I have plain electric lights but that too in the other room. I must find a flowery one for my room, I’ll tell you about it once I finally get them. Yay – even the thought of it makes me so happy!
