  11. What a curious poem, my friend. I like how you did the switch up with ‘intriguing’ and ‘differentiating’. Plus the last part was great. Reading a story that he always wanted to write. It makes me think about people that are a too afraid to take risks in life, and then perhaps end up regretting it later.

And, your interpretation is very perceptive – it is exactly what I wanted to convey – “about people that are a too afraid to take risks in life, and then perhaps end up regretting it later” it is indeed and the first two stanzas are the first two stages, being encouraged by those who appreciate the person, the person finally taking the flight of faith, but sometimes it’s too late.
      I always love reading your views – they hold an uncanny resemblance to mine. πŸ™‚ ❀

      3. Oh no. Not housework. I want to learn so much. I’ve really taken an interest to mixed-media art and whimsical art and want to do it. I just don’t really know where to start. There’s soooooo much on the internet, it’s overwhelming. Plus, I want to learn photography and especially surreal photography. So many things I want to do, so little time.

      4. Ah, I know, right? The internet has the potential of consuming our whole life – and we wouldn’t even make a fraction of it. It would be great to see your attempts at mixed media art, it looks very interesting. I’ve taken a liking to photography too, and to give myself a little nudge to dive into it, I have decided to ask my parents for a camera for my birthday! Freeloader for life. Let’s see when I am finally able to muster the courage to go and actually say it to them…maybe I should drop a mail or something.

  17. I loved the industrial and/or scientific oriented internal world you forged on the 2/3 of your poem which blends overall pretty well with naked emotion. The noise factor brought to mind signals and white noise for some weird reason, hacked beheld a computing essence, heart-cogs was pretty strong, it presented the heart as an emotionally interpreted hardware mechanism. It integrates the first verse, then it differentiates, it becomes the second verse, then it differentiates and integrates once again and the third verse is born. It feels like a struggle between the world of technology and one’s emotional nature to end in an utterly humane manner in the last 1/3 of it, it feels relieving and soothing, it holds an essence of fulfillment, as if the cogs inside the heart, finally, found a more than welcome rhythm. And i liked the integrating-differentiating play.

      You views match mine in an uncanny way – really! Heart cogs were indeed meant to represent – "heart as an emotionally interpreted hardware mechanism"
      The integrating-differentiating play was more of a 'risky business' but I'm glad you caught onto it. The struggle as you mentioned is there, between technology, people and people who rely on technology to much.
      I wrote this poem when I read a post of a fellow blogger and went "Ah, I had the same in my mind." I reckon that happens a lot with people right? Hence the last stanza, I literally wrote what I felt at that very moment. I think technology can sometimes be so inspiring and at other times so very depressing – it is a platform to meet so many brilliant people like yourself and then there's this 'gap' you know, which can never be filled.
      Haha, I over-think – Voila! Welcome to the blog I highly appreciate your presence.

Chincha!!!! *eyes scroll up* intergrating-differentiating *eyes scroll down* differentiating-integrating, there must be a meaning, it’s not a change just for the effect of it πŸ˜€ The better the technology becomes the less humane people become. But it’s not that bad indeed, it can always lead to beautiful people and their thoughts πŸ™‚ There’s void in pretty much everything, hence the “gap”, it’s probably that’s why they say at metro stations on announcements “mind the gap between the train and the platform.” Pleased to take walks on your bloggie πŸ˜€ Yet, over-thinking is always better as a nighttime “job” πŸ˜€
