A symmetric asymmetry

It’s often the metallic gush
against the frost bitten wind
That bleeds in undissolved snow
Lacing two distinct crystals
together like confiscated baggage

As rare as two seasons that
measure the same in blooming
flowers andย silvering hair
I realise in that moment –
i’m just another rudderless
average, of all that has
befallen

  1. Ah, there are beers inside of me, but also it’s so cold on the outside, i felt the urge to read something intriguing, i knew i would find it here! Desolate and beautiful, but the most beautiful writings are being born from blue colors. “As rare as two seasons that measure the same in blooming”, OK, this sent me to hell and back, this line was indeed as rare as two seasons that measure the same in blooming, because no season could match perfectly with another one in terms of blooming, but it feels just as rare as if it could happen some time. Flowers and silvering hair, it’s as if the two seasons that measure the same in blooming are two contradictive, the flowers refer to spring, the silvering hair to winter, both seasons bloom equally, spring in terms of blossom, winter in terms of nature decomposition, but even if the first one is the opposite of the second, in terms of blossom, each one to its own, they’re both the same in terms of blooming measure. Damn, i loved this one ๐Ÿ˜€

    1. Oh, thanks so much, Kwon! It’s so great to know that you find my work intriguing – best compliment I could hope for!
Yes, indeed! Your interpretation goes spot on with the thoughts I had while writing this. I’m glad you could find the meaning I wanted to convey with the rarity of two seasons being the same. It is such a commonplace yet rare feeling – the changing of seasons, each year is different in ways that could never be comprehended. Flowers and silvering hair does indicate two blooming seasons – I find winter more peaceful than Spring for some reason, it’s more calming and the stagnancy is alluring. Very well said – “each one to its own, theyโ€™re both the same in terms of blooming measure”, exactly!
Thank you so very much! Your comments always add so much meaning of my poems. It’s like I can *finally* discuss it with someone and that’s an amazing feeling. ๐Ÿ™‚

P.S – Hope the world saving mission is going well, Chinchaman! ~_^

      1. You’re very welcome GomenneWoman! The ChinchaMan thinks your work is intriguing because it is and it’s not a compliment, it’s the truth of the Order of Chincha! I always find it beautiful sometimes to be able to see your poem through your own eyes while you were writing, it’s dat connection between writer-reader! It doesn’t happen all the time, but when it does it’s like a secret bliss xD I left the world on its own for a while because fever is putting me into artificial desolation xD
