Blue Bus Stop and Funeral Dress

d

This is only how far I could have come
without looking back

Staring in the compulsive blue
of the cloud stained satin sky
that crowns reality with mirages
Life conspires to draw its
worth in nickels spent to
reach this impasse

Death had already lived
its due amount –
when she decided never to
calibrate life

Looking back
This is only how far I could have come

  1. Stop doing this! I mean, keep doing it at all costs! I like the way you create immense visuals through your words and thoughts and how well they pace with the pictures you put on top of your poems! Picturesque poetry is my favorite, evoking visuals through words is real beauty. (i’m working on a review/recap, but i will reply to your comments later on!)

    1. Hahaha, as you say! 😀
Thank you very much! I’m very pleased you liked it, I mostly write and then add a picture, this one went the other way round.
Have a nice day! I look forward to the replies and reviews. ^_^

      1. Yush, it’s so awesome that your pictures pace really well with the aftermath of your mind depicted with wordsaaaargh! Your poems are chinching gently my mind 😀 And it was awesome this time that a single picture forged the words to turn into a poem x)

  2. Powerful poetry here, my friend. I had to read it a few times and munch on it a bit.

–I really like this part here. As if the beauty and vastness of the vivid blue meshed with pillowy clouds were the mirage, and reality is far from that.
    Bravo
    🙂 ❤

    1. Thank you very much, Staci! It is as you said “beauty and vastness of the vivid blue meshed with pillowy clouds were the mirage, and reality is far from that”
Yes, indeed! There was a recent death in the family, funerals are often so narky that they always inspire me to make something of it. 🙂
I’m very glad you liked it, my friend! ❤
Please have a lovely day! 🙂

      1. Oh, I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. I hope you’re ok. Creatively expressing oneself is very therapeutic, I think. I’m glad you use your writing to express your loss. It’s kind of like getting it out.
I did have a lovely day, thank you. I hope yours was as well.
        🙂 ❤
