Love in Ten Sentences

Woah, after seven days short of a month…

I was, quite unexpectedly, nominated for this challenge (and, a mighty good one at being so) by my wonderfully talented writer friends Aubrey and Georgette. Thank you very much for remembering me, I am extremely grateful! ❤

The challenge is to write a poem about love and title it “Love in Ten Sentences.” It must have 10 lines, each 4 words long. Every line must contain the word “love.” At the end of the poem, you must include a favorite quote about love. Then challenge ten other bloggers.

This is probably the least likely topic I’d ever have considered writing on – consider me too unqualified for the same – but anyway here it is, my staggering attempt –

‘Love’ has its uses
For ‘Love‘ is subjective
Volatile ‘Love’ of changes
Fixated ‘Love’ of mirrors
Reluctant ‘Love’ of newspapers
Regretful ‘Love’ of family
Saccharine ‘Love’ of words
Discordant ‘Love’ of poetry
For wherever ‘Love’ is
‘Love’ is a sanctuary

As a part of my system of self-discipline, dating from childhood, I constantly told myself it would be better to die than become a lukewarm person, an unmanly person, a person who does not clearly know his likes and dislikes, a person who wants only to be loved without knowing how to love. – Yukio Mishima

And, here are my nominations –
