“This is the safest place
I could ever be.”
I thought, lying there
among clothes and limbs
It is a place where words
lined along the mouth
remain unspoken
Is a place where
to see and to look
are the same
A place where
no touch is felt
Place where light
jumps from one
floating star to another
without regret
Where monsters
shed their skin
to become saints
And, the haggard time
is not divided
but shared between all
Lying among the dead,
I said to myself –
“This is the safest place
I could ever be.”
(oh!)

Ah, I am glad you liked those lines. It was meant to be some sort of surreal poetry, I’m not sure if it touched along those lines, but it’s a compliment that you found it haunting. Thanks for your constant support! π

This is really compelling and powerful. I like the sense of inclusion wrapped around mystery. Well done!

Thanks for the kind words, John. I love the way interpreted it – sense of inclusion wrapped around mystery – very precise.
Thanks, again! π

I’ve always imagined Time to be worn out and over-worked, yet something always resolute. I’m glad you loved it and could “see” it – it’s lovely to have readers who can visualise the elements of poetry!
Thank you!!

Ah, thank you Lorrie! It makes me happy that the end was haunting…that was the ‘motive’ (not evil though hehe) behind it all. Thanks again, my friend! You’re an incredible person. π β€

Ah, thank you – I’m glad you liked that line, it was a bit risky, to be honest.
