The gap

Even If some day
we run out of thoughts
out of words, that create a mirage of
the reality we so often find bliss in not knowing
Out of the inconspicuous realities
that are intriguing enough
to be remembered by the world

We shall never drain out of
the art that defines our soul
‘Cause we will always
lust for a perfect life

      4. Yes, you can keep it. All the Won you earn will be Kwon’s. xD Nah, a senpai would never steal money from a kohai. XD

  1. I like it! Just like my poem yesterday brought a lot of things to your mind, this one brought a lot to mine.

It reminded me of M.C. Esher, and something I wrote last year:

“Chaos building blocks make up broken complexes, word-play paradoxes in Manic-Depressant Metropolis on M. C. Escher Boulevard where Avant-garde bard, elusive muse chase each other’s ethereal hearts like shooting stars on endless loops, dogs after cats after yarn”

…as well as this music video I saw awhile back:

    “Shape”
    by Glasser

    I live on my beach.
    water surrounding me.
    And it’s got too deep;
I let it get too deep.

    My home has no shape;
    nothing to sustain me,
    but it keep me safe
    from imagined pain.

In the dim light of the truth all you can do is bow.

    The walls often change.
I’m new in this place, me.
    But I know I’ll stay,
    Can’t ever get away.

When the crossing gets too wide
    then I go home
    to the fluctuation
    I have on my own.

    And I look out longingly
    over the beach.
    There’s an ocean making life
    beyond my reach,
    and the vastness is
too much for me to stand.

And by the light of the truth all I can do is bow.

    1. Oh, that’s a wonderful line written by you about the eternal circle we choose to follow. How very true and ‘M. C. Escher Boulevard’ that’s a perfect analogy right there.
Thank you for sharing the song too, it’s mesmerising! 🙂
Hope you’re doing well! Take care!

  2. Reblogged this on Being me. and commented:
    THIS *_*.
It’s like a lecture to me as my curiosity happens to be my greatest flaw and wildest enemy, yet friend. It’s the most beautifully written thing I had the pleasure of reading today.

  3. Hey sweetie. Long time eh. You always have a way with words. I like to think that it’s my soul that defines my art. And that perfection is unattainable. However, I do see the striving to do my best as being what ‘perfection’ is.
    How have you been, anyways?
I was on vacation. Can’t beat rest, relaxation, family, sun, warmth and a Brazilian beach 🙂
    Love and hugs.
    🙂 ❤

    1. Hey, Staci! Thank you very much, dear friend! ❤ I'm okay-ish, not grand but surviving. Hahaha 🙂
Oh wow, a beach…the SUN! Ahh I want to hibernate for the rest of winter, it's getting more and more depressing by the day. 😐
I'm sure you enjoyed your much needed vacation! ^_^
      Love, hugs and cookies! ❤

      1. Good Lord! We’re all suddenly so busy, right? Wish you luck with the packing and moving, it such an ordeal when all I have to do is pack my stuff and there you have a family! Good luck! 🙂
I have an interview on this 25th! And I am extremely nervous about the group discussion part of it. 😥
